Event Ticketing Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions of Ticket Purchasing

About us

Tickets are sold by CCBP. References in these Terms to “CCBP”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the event organiser responsible for the relevant event.

Application of these Terms

By purchasing a ticket for any CCBP event, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

Ticket purchase

3.1. All ticket prices are shown in pounds sterling and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
3.2. Any booking fee or transaction fee will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.
3.3. A booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received and you have been issued with a confirmation email or electronic ticket.
3.4. You are responsible for checking your booking confirmation and notifying us promptly of any errors.

Ticket use

4.1. Tickets are valid only for the event, date and ticket type stated at the time of purchase.
4.2. Tickets must not be copied, reproduced or used for commercial or promotional purposes without our prior written consent.
4.3. We reserve the right to cancel tickets that have been resold, transferred in breach of these Terms, duplicated, obtained fraudulently, or purchased in breach of any stated booking limits.
4.4. Where permitted by us, tickets may be transferred to a substitute attendee by contacting us in advance of the event.

Cancellations, refunds and substitutions

5.1. Unless otherwise stated, tickets are non-refundable except where required by law or where we cancel the event.
5.2. As CCBP events are leisure services provided on a specific date or dates, purchases may be excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right that can apply to some online sales.
5.3. If you are unable to attend, we may, at our discretion, allow a substitute attendee to attend in your place, provided you notify us before the event.
5.4. If an event is cancelled by us, we will normally offer either:

  • a full refund of the ticket price paid; or

  • transfer of your booking to a rearranged date or another suitable event.
5.5. Unless required by law, we are not responsible for refunding travel, accommodation or other third-party costs you may incur.

Changes to the event

6.1. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to the event, including changes to the date, timetable, venue, speakers, agenda, format or programme.
6.2. We may also change an in-person event to an online or hybrid format where reasonably necessary.
6.3. Minor changes will not entitle you to a refund. If we make a material change to the event, we will notify ticket holders and, where appropriate, explain any options available.

Admission and attendee conduct

7.1. We reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee without refund where we reasonably consider their behaviour to be unsafe, abusive, disruptive, discriminatory, unlawful, intoxicated, or otherwise inappropriate.
7.2. Attendees must comply with all venue rules, health and safety requirements, and any instructions issued by event staff.
7.3. We may require proof of identity, booking confirmation, or eligibility for certain ticket types.

Accessibility and special requirements

8.1. If you have any accessibility requirements, dietary requirements or other specific needs, please notify us as early as possible before the event.
8.2. We will use reasonable endeavours to accommodate such requirements where notified in sufficient time.

Photography, filming and recordings

9.1. CCBP events may be photographed, filmed or recorded for security, editorial, promotional and marketing purposes.
9.2. By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs, video recordings or live streams.
9.3. We may use such content in connection with promoting CCBP, its events, and associated activities.
9.4. If you have a particular concern about being recorded, please contact us before the event and we will try to deal with your request reasonably.

Data protection and privacy

10.1. We will process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Notice, which should be read alongside these Terms.
10.2. We may use your personal data for purposes connected with administering your booking, managing the event, communicating with you about the event, processing payments, keeping attendance records, and complying with legal obligations.
10.3. We may share your personal data with third parties who provide services on our behalf, such as ticketing providers, payment processors, venues, event technology providers, caterers, and professional advisers, where necessary for event administration.
10.4. We may also share limited attendee information with event sponsors, partner organisations, and businesses within the Black Capital Group where this is explained in our Privacy Notice and, where required by law, where you have given your consent.
10.5. Where we wish to send you marketing, or permit sponsors or Black Capital Group businesses to send you marketing by email, SMS or similar electronic means, we will do so in accordance with applicable data protection and privacy laws and your stated preferences.
10.6. You can change your marketing preferences or unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in communications or by contacting us.

Sponsor and partner data sharing

11.1. Where stated on the booking form, we may share attendee details such as name, job title, organisation and contact details with event sponsors, partners, or Black Capital Group businesses.
11.2. Such sharing will only take place where we have a lawful basis to do so and, where consent is required, only where you have clearly opted in.

Intellectual property

12.1. All intellectual property rights in event materials, presentations, recordings, branding and content remain owned by CCBP or the relevant speaker, sponsor or rights holder.
12.2. You must not record, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify or commercially exploit any event content without prior written permission.

Liability

13.1. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13.2. Subject to clause 13.1, our total liability to you in connection with the event or your ticket purchase shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the relevant ticket.
13.3. Subject to clause 13.1, we shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, or loss of opportunity.

Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay, postponement, cancellation, reduction in capacity, or other change caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, public health incidents, industrial disputes, venue closure, supplier failure, utility failure, civil unrest, or acts of God.

Severance

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
